Brother Dennis Robert FSC joined the De La Salle Order in 1927 and spent his life working as a teacher, vocations promoter, speaker, writer and pilgrimage director. His work took him throughout Britain and gave him the opportunity to visit many of the places connected with the foundations of the Faith, which inspired him to write How the Faith came to Britain.

Brother Dennis’ great zeal and energy in whatever he was called upon to undertake sprang from his deep Faith and commitment to God, which were sustained by a life of faithful prayer at the centre of which was daily Mass. He completed his earthly pilgrimage on 19th February 2006, aged 94,in the 76th year of his Religious Profession.
